Obituary

Joyce Lorraine Meyer passed away in Puyallup, WA on July 25th, 2026. Joyce grew up in Garden Springs Spokane Washington with two brothers and two sisters. She still had living siblings to include an older sister in Spokane in her mid-nineties. She had a brother in Alaska in his nineties and a brother in California in his nineties.

She married Frank Meyer in 1956 and lived on a farm raising cattle, ducks and chickens. They were married for 56 years. She loved nature and was a local oil painting artist. She has some of her paintings in other countries such Belgium and Germany. Later she wrote stories and illustrated them. I have about 18 illustrated books that she created.

Frank passed away in 2011 at the age of 81. He was self-employed and a contractor doing painting and remodeling. He contracted work through the VA and FHA putting HUD homes back on the market to re-sell. They were married for 56 wonderful years.
